CANADAHELPS: 20TH ANNIVERSARY
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Canadian non-profit CanadaHelps wanted to shine a spotlight on the Canadian charitable sector with a short documentary series featuring charities from around the nation.
This project was no small undertaking. We went through hundreds of charities to find six organizations in diverse regions of Canada to tell their story. And producing a nationwide doc-series is tricky at the best of times - but pulling it off during the throes of the COVID-19 pandemic… That was the icing on the cake. We travelled to charities when we were able and coordinated shoots with local filmmaking teams where restrictions prohibited us from travelling. In the end, we created a cohesive series that stressed the impact and importance of the charitable sector, and the team at CanadaHelps couldn't be happier.
